Hotel Cristal is set around a swimming pool, on a clifftop overlooking Vale Centeanes Beach, and two kilometres from Carvoeiro town. The 118 modern guestrooms have tiled floors and balconies or terraces, and all include air conditioning, minibars, safes and cable television.
Guests can cool off in the outdoor pool or lounge in the sun with fruit juices from the Conquilha pool bar; there is a second pool inside the hotel and another for children, who will also enjoy the games room. Relaxation at the hotel comes in the form of a health club with hot tub, sauna, and Turkish bath while more active guests can head for the fitness room or practise their serve on the tennis court. The hotel restaurant offers sea views and serves international and local specialities for breakfast and dinner, and lunch is available at the Albatroz Bar, which features live music every Saturday. There is free car parking on site and a complimentary shuttle service to the small town of Carvoeiro, two kilometres away, which runs twice daily on week days. Five different beaches within 2.5 kilometres of the hotel offer a range of water sports, including jet skiing, parasailing, snorkelling and windsurfing, and there is a waterpark 10 kilometres from the hotel. Other nearby attractions include Silves Castle, 12 kilometres away, and the coastal town of Albufeira, 18 kilometres away. Faro International Airport is 60 kilometres from the hotel, a drive of around 45 minutes.

The easiest way to get to the hotel from the airport is by taxi, at a cost of approximately 50 EUR. The Algarve coast is best explored by car, though bicycles are available to rent from the hotel and provide a fun way to see the local area.
Driving directions: From the airport, take the A22 towards Portimao, the turn right onto the IC4/EN125 to Portimao. Keep left and join the IP1, following Continue for approximately 50 kilometres and take exit 6 for Lagoa/Silves. Take the third exit at the roundabout, following signs for Carvoeiro.
