Location. Set in sub tropical gardens filled with palm trees, Vila Domilu is a grand Moorish style hotel, located 900 metres from the beach, and three kilometres from the picturesque fishing village of Carvoeiro. Faro city and airport (FAO) is 50 kilometres away.
Hotel Features. The hotel has two saltwater swimming pools, surrounded by terraces dotted with sun loungers. The spa has an indoor plunge pool, gym, sauna, hot tub and offers a range of treatments including Shiatsu, reflexology and Reiki. There is also a floor butler service (surcharge) for services from delivering a newspaper to washing the car, or cleaning golf clubs. Children can splash around in their own pool and enjoy a range of supervised activities.
A complimentary breakfast is served each morning and Vila Domilu's A Nau Restaurant serves Portuguese and international dishes as well as a vegetarian and children's menus. The adjoining Ossonoba Bar has leather armchairs and offers a range drinks and cocktails. The lounge bar also has a terrace with views and serves a selection of drinks and afternoon tea.
Yoga and Pilates classes are offered daily and the floodlit tennis court is at the disposal of Vila Domilu guests.
Guestrooms. The 42 guestrooms have a Moorish style decor in neutral colours with rich red fabrics and white wooden furnishings. Amenities include air conditioning, cable television, direct dial phones, DVD players, wireless Internet access, minibars and safes.
Expert Tip. Guests can visit Albufeira, with its old and new town, 22 kilometres away. Some of the old charm includes narrow streets lined with whitewashed houses, cafes and squares. The new town, based around the 'Strip', is a hive of activity with party goers.

Getting there. Taxis are available outside the Airport terminal building, although a hire car is recommended.
Driving directions. From the airport, take the A22 and follow signs to Portimao. Exit in Alcantarilha, again in the direction of Portimao. In Lagoa, turn left toward Carvoeiro. After 1.5 kilometres, turn left at the traffic lights and follow the signs to Benagil.
