A terracotta coloured colonial style complex, Hotel Savoy is set in lush gardens and situated, 800 metres from the beach, and one kilometre from the colourful markets of Funchal. The 337 air conditioned guestrooms feature classic decor and double glazed French windows open onto sunny, furnished balconies with sea or mountain views. All include cable television, direct dial phones, minibars, safes, hair dryers and Internet connections.
Guests can spend lazy days beside the two outdoor heated pools, or relax with a sauna, Turkish bath or massage in the health club. A dedicated entertainment team will keep children busy while parents socialise in the laid back Piano Bar overlooking the pool or the sophisticated Alameda cocktail bar. The informal Cupula restaurant serves themed buffets or a la carte dishes; while gourmets can enjoy fine French dining in the Grill Room Fleur de Lys. Light lunches are on the menu at the relaxed Library Garden Caf�. Nearby attractions include the spice markets in the centre of Funchal one kilometre away, and the popular Madeira Wine Cellar is 800 metres away. The Madeira International Airport is 17 kilometres from the hotel.

A Savoy airport shuttle bus is available (surcharge), although taxis are the most popular form of transport and a trip from the airport to the hotel will cost approximately 30 EUR. TAP busses run from the airport every 30 minutes between 9 AM to 11 PM into Funchal town and cost about 5.20 EUR. Local busses are slightly cheaper and cost approximately 3 EUR.
