Location. Modern Le Meridien Porto is located in Porto, Portugal, in the heart of its new business district and two kilometres from the Serralves Museum of Contemporary Art. Porto Airport is 10 kilometres away.

Le Meridien Porto's contemporary style Restaurant Poivron Rouge opens for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and has a menu of Mediterranean dishes and Portuguese specialities. Bar Poivron Rouge plays live music and has a billiards table. It serves light meals and drinks as well as occasional themed lunch buffets. The hotel also has a nightclub on site.

Expert Tip. The Casa da Musica, on Avenida da Boavista, was built to celebrate Porto's status as European Capital of Culture in 2001. Designed by renowned Dutch architect Rem Koolhaas, it finally opened in 2005. It is now home to the National Orchestra of Porto and hosts a variety of concerts from rock to classical.

From Porto Airport (OPO):
Distance to Le Meridien Porto is 10 kilometres, approximately 20 minutes' drive.

Getting there. The Violet line (E) on Porto's Metro system runs from the airport to the city centre, and single tickets cost 1.35 EUR. The station at the airport is in front of arrivals. Buses depart for the city centre every 20 30 minutes. Taxis to central Porto cost about 15 EUR 20 EUR. Prices are all subject to change.

Getting around. Le Meridien Porto is on Avenida Boavista. Porto's modern, efficient metro system runs between 6 a.m. and midnight. Trams and buses are available throughout the city, and one ticket can be used on buses, trains and the metro. Intercity and local trains run from Porto to destinations across Portugal.
