Hotel Palm Bay is set in a modern village style resort made up of terracotta roofed cottages and apartments sloping down to the village of Praia da Luz and its long, sandy beach. The 44 suites, sleeping up to six persons, have summery decor with tiled floors and patterned fabrics, and benefit from lounge areas and fully equipped kitchens, as well as cable television and direct dial phones.
Guests can relax by the outdoor pool which includes a children's pool and poolside bar; there is a further heated pool inside the hotel. Guests enjoy access to the fitness centre and there are five floodlit tennis courts on site. There are organised children's activities as well as a cr�che for young children. The Plantation Bar is set on a terrace beside the pool, and offers international and Portuguese dishes, as well as a salad bar at lunchtime. The Grill Room at the Ocean Club is open for evening meals, and is an a la carte restaurant offering international and Portuguese dishes with daily fish specials. Multilingual staff can provide information on local sightseeing hotspots, and there is a safe deposit box at the 24 hour front desk. There are four golf courses Boavista, Palmares, Penina and Parque de Floresta within 15 kilometres of the hotel and the historical town of Lagos is three kilometres away. Faro Airport is 86 kilometres and 50 minutes by car from the hotel.

Taxis can be caught from outside the terminal building; typical fares are 65 80 EUR to Lagos. Buses can also be caught outside the terminal building. Aerobus provides a shuttle service between the airport and city centre daily (except Tuesday) in high season. From Faro airport follow the signs to the A22. Join the motorway signed Lisboa, Albufeira and Portim�o. The motorway (A22) will take you to Lagos. At the end of the motorway you must take exit Lagos / Vila Do Bispo (1). Exit the motorway and follow the signs to Vila Do Bispo. Turn right at the roundabout for about 2.5 kilometres. At the third set of traffic lights turn left to LUZ. Turn left at the village square at the end of road. The hotel's 24 hour reception is approximately 200 metres along on your left.
